Benefits Consulting Services RFP

Plan Design

Our firm excels at the evaluation process because we go beyond simply providing data and instead provide solutions

supported by data. Our clients have implemented a variety of alternative strategies based on both the data and

solutions we bring. Examples include captive arrangements, PBM consortiums to enhance purchasing power and

transparency, cost plus reimbursement arrangements and onsite clinic ROI and others.

In addition to dedicated service team members, we offer expertise to provide actuarial guidance, data feeds,

customized reporting, pharmacist review, and identifying gaps in care. Sample Financial and Actuarial Reports can

be found in Exhibit G.

Methodology

Carefully analyzing the current employee benefit strategy, documents, procedures, employee self-service capabilities

and benefit contracts allows our team to more effectively provide guidance. We use a thorough process to review;

cost, funding, financial and utilization reporting, compliance, communication, as well as administrative policies and

procedures. In addition, CBIZ has numerous benchmarking resources for plan design and cost evaluation compared

against national and regional databases. Through a comprehensive document request from insurers and the client,

as well as a thoughtful stakeholder interview process, your engagement team will collect and synthesize information

to customize a strategy for Unity.

Strategic Planning

Strategic planning is a hallmark of our partnership. Utilizing the information above, developing a well-documented

strategy is the blueprint for success. Typically for a new engagement CBIZ will work closely with your human

resources and finance team to document a three to five year strategy.

Pre-renewal Planning

Selecting insurance products is secondary to identifying,

building, documenting and executing a strategic plan.

Traditional insurance brokers will commoditize the census

and claims data, an employee benefits specialist places the

buying process on the commoditizing the strategy. Doing so

allows our clients to optimize pricing and other outcomes.
