It’s Time - Annual Benefits Enrollment
Is Here For Electing Your 2016 Benefits.
December 29, 2015 - January 7, 2016
This Benefits Enrollment Guide is designed to provide an
overview of the 2016 benefit options that are available
to you and your eligible dependents through WCCI. It’s
your time to review your current benefits and select
the coverage appropriate for you and your eligible
dependents. During Annual Enrollment, you can make
changes to your benefits for the upcoming plan year.
You can add coverage, drop coverage or change your
dependents. Any changes you elect will be for the 2016
plan year. The 2016 plan year will begin February 1,
2016, and end on January 31, 2017.
What Is Annual Benefits Enrollment?
It is that time for employees to review their current benefit
options and consider any changes for the upcoming
benefits year without having a Qualified Life Status
Change (QLSC). A QLSC is an event such as a marriage,
the birth of a new child, loss of a spouse, or loss of
other group health insurance coverage, etc.
Federal
law prevents plan members from changing their benefits
throughout the year without specific reasons.
There are three (3) times when you can enroll in benefits or
maybe eligible to make changes to your benefits elections
at WCCI:
• As a newly hired employee
• After experiencing a qualified life status event
• During Annual Enrollment each year
You have a 3I-day window from the date of your event (i.e.,
new hire or QLSC) to enroll, unless specified otherwise. It
is to your advantage to enroll in each benefit plan as soon
as you are eligible.
What Does This Mean For Me?
It’s up to you to ensure you have health insurance for yourself
and any eligible dependents each year. World Changers Church
International is here to help by showing you all of the options
available to you and explaining the steps you will need to take
so that you’re covered.
Benefits-eligible employees can enroll in a World Changers
Church International medical coverage option during Annual
Enrollment.
If you are not benefits-eligible, you will need to obtain health
insurance through another source. That might be your spouse’s
employer, parents (if you are under age 26), or the Health
Insurance Marketplace available in your state. Depending
on your situation, you might be eligible for coverage through
Medicare or Medicaid. You can also buy a policy on your own,
separate from the marketplace in your state.
