Large diameter
split frame for
cutting and
bevelling
EH Wachs has introduced the new Large Diameter Split
Frame for cold cutting, bevelling, facing and counterboring on
large diameter pipes and vessels. Four standard LDSF sizes
will cover a range from 60" to 120" OD.
The Wachs LDSF has been engineered to incorporate new
advancements, making it stronger, faster to set up, faster to
operate and more versatile. Features and options include
clean, powerful hydraulic drive systemwith dual drive motors;
the ability to split into quadrants for easier storage, transport
and set-up; a hinged open/close mechanism that simplifies
positioning and operation; heat treated steel construction for
durability; new ID and OD leg clamping system; drive and
tool slide interfaces that match existing Wachs accessories;
and a stronger roller bearing design that contributes to the
smooth operation and long service.

Cutting with
CNC controls
FOR many shops, cramped for space and on a tight budget,
improving quality and boosting production can make all the
difference. The Vernon Tool Masterpipe
®
Mini Profiler is an
entry-level pipe cutting machine with dual-axis CNC controls,
which can cut pipe or tubing to length quickly and efficiently.
The standard Masterpipe uses a variable-angle, manual
height control for the plasma torch. For achieving cleaner
cuts on larger diameter material that may be slightly out-of-
round, the arc voltage height control (AVHC) option keeps
the same arc length, and same quality, throughout the cut.
An oxyfuel attachment is an available option for material with
heavy wall thickness.
The automated profiler’s variable-jaw chuck handles
outside diameters from 1" to 8". The smallest sized profiler
has a footprint of only 2ft wide and 7ft long. It rapidly finishes
4ft material and by adding 5ft-long extension modules, the
Masterpipe Mini Profiler can grow to hold material of up to
24ft in length.
