2016-2020 FINANCIAL PLAN

FIRE CENTRAL TRAINING CENTRE EXPANSION

$6,000,000

This project will expand and reconfigure the Fire Central Training Centre to allow for in-

creased training services for all City Departments, as well as external clients when avail-

able. The new building will have 3 dedicated classrooms with capacity for 120 students.

The reconfiguration of the site will also improve traffic safety access to the site, and pro-

vide onsite parking that allows for unencumbered onsite live public safety training exer-

cises to run in conjunction with revenue based client schedule.

The 2016 contribution to this multi-year project is $3,500,000.

OPERATING IMPACT: The 2016 – 2020 Financial Plan includes a net addition of $50,000

for operating costs to maintain and program this new facility.
