Twenty-four Members present.
Illness of H.M. the King.
A letter was read from the Secretary of the
Department of External Affairs stating that
the Minister had been requested to convey
to the Society an expression of the grateful
appreciation of Their Majesties the King and
Queen for the Society's message of sympathy
on the occasion of the illness of His Majesty.
Extra-Ordinary Members.
The names'of the following were submitted
by the Incorporated Law Society of Northern
Ireland to serve as Extra-Ordinary Members
of the Council for the year ending 26th
November, 1929:—Mr. J. G. H. Wilson
(President), Mr. J. Alien, Mr. J. I. Donaghy,
Mr. J. B. McCutcheon, Mr. S. Ross.

Legal Practitioners (Qualification) Bill.
The Bill, as amended in Special Committee
of the Bail, was further considered, and it
was resolved that a Special Meeting of the
Society be summoned to consider the Bill as
so amended.
OBITUARY.
MR. JOHN McKEE, Solicitor, died upon the
6th January, 1929, at his residence, Ardmara,
Clifton Road, Bangor, Co. Down.
Mr. McKee was admitted
in Trinity
Sittings, 1887, and practised at Belfast.
MR. JOHN M. HAMILL, Solicitor, died upon
the llth January, 1929, at Belfast.
Mr. Hamill, who served his apprenticeship
with Mr. George H. Wheeler, Belfast, was
admitted
in Hilary Sittings,
1911,
and
practised at Belfast.
MR. ANDREW MOONEY, Solicitor, died in
January, 1929.
Mr. Mooney was admitted
in Hilary
Sittings, 1893, and practised at Coleraine up
to 1911, when he retired.
MR. JAMES W. DAVIS, Solicitor, died upon
the 30th January, 1929, at his residence,
2 York Terrace, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
Mr. Davis was admitted in Michaelmas
Sittings, 1896, and practised at, ,J.Q, Fleet
Street, Dublin.
He was Solicitor to the Dublin Metropolitan
Police for a number of years.
