Members of the Society are requested to
assist the Council in giving effect to the
resolution passed at the Special General
^Meeting reported above, by communicating
with those members of the Bail and of the
Senate with whom they may be acquainted,
and urging reasons for opposition to the
further progress of the Bill.

APRIL EXAMINATIONS, 1929.
The Final Examination will be held on the
9th and 10th days of April.
Notice of
intention to attend should be lodged in the
Secretary's Office, 45 Kildare Street, Dublin,
before 20th March.
The Preliminary Examination will be held
on the 15th and 16th days of April. Notice
of intention to attend should be lodged in
the -Secretary's Office, 45 Kildare Street,
Dublin, before 25th March.
SOLICITORS' BENEVOLENT
ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Directors was held on
Wednesday, 6th February, 1929, when Sir
George Roche occupied the Chair, and the
following Directors were present :—Messrs.
F. C. Earle Bland, E. D. MacLaughlin,
R. A. O'Brien, T. G. Quirke and W. G.
Wakely.
Grants amounting in all to £100 were
passed in favour of five applicants, three of
whom were widows of Solicitors and two the
daughters of Solicitors.
Sir George Roche, Mr. J. E. Macdermott
and Mr. F. C. Earle Bland were re-elected
Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Hon. Secretary
of the Association respectively for the year
1929.
