MAEDA MINI CRANES
operating efficiently in any work space
W
ork-at-height solutions have be-
come a priority in today’s civil en-
gineering and construction world
as the quest for higher construction levels
become paramount while not neglecting
the safety aspect of every application.
The Eazi Group, Africa’s leader in mobile
work-at-height solutions, offers techno-
logically advanced, cost-effective and safe
solutions, such as the Maeda mini cranes
which can play a vital role in certain ap-
plications where other types of equipment
may not have access.
Much in keeping with the company’s current
product range of JLG access equipment, tele-
handlers and Magni Telescopic handlers Eazi
Sales and Service has introduced the Mae-
da Mini Crawler Crane range into the local
market. Maeda is by far one of the largest
construction and equipment manufacturing
companies in Japan and with its Mini Crawler
Cranes, rates as the larger of the two leaders
in the global market.
The Maeda mini crane is a technologically
advanced and versatile piece of lifting equip-
ment, developed and designed to tackle
ambitious tasks in confined areas. Maeda
mini cranes are available in South Africa and
throughout Africa on a rental basis through
Eazi Access Rental - a 100% South African
owned company that offers the largest fleet of
telehandlers and work-at-height equipment
in Southern Africa. The company has its head
office in Midrand, North of Johannesburg,
with 13 branches across various provinces in
South Africa. “The focus right now is to pro-
vide South African industry with safe work-
at-height solutions that are cost effective and
enhance productivity,” says Chad Pope, Busi-
ness Director for Eazi Access Rental.
Maeda mini cranes in particular are ideal for
use in a variety of different industrial sectors
including construction, petrochemical, en-
ergy, transport and forestry. Maeda offers a
wide range of nine different models, starting
with the MC104 with a capacity of .995 ton
and a 5.5 m lift height to the larger LC1385B
with a capacity of 6.0 ton and a lift height
of 16.70 m. With this range of cranes, some
narrow enough to fit through a standard
doorway and others large enough to lift up
to 6 tons, Maeda cranes allow working safely
both indoors and outdoors without compro-
mise. Adding to the versatility of the units is
its power source with the option of petrol,
LPG, diesel and electric. A further advantage
in some models is the diesel/electric alternat-
ing power source.
Maeda Mini Cranes are easy to operate and
this, combined with their incredible versatility,
makes them an ideal rental machine. This,
with their ability to work in close proximity
to the load, increases their safety value as
opposed to hiring larger and more expensive
cranes.
