Café Louis Philippe
Straight out of the early 19th Century, this ‘resto-bar’ is one of our favourite lunch
spots when in the 4th arrondissement. It serves traditional French dishes like oeuf durs
mayonnaise (eggs with mayonnaise), endives au bleu et aux noix (endives, blue cheese
and walnut salad) and boeuf bourguignon, all at reasonable prices. It’s busy but mostly
with locals. In summer, we love to sit outside in the courtyard, then after lunch we
meander across the road to the Seine and soak in the atmosphere.
