Boiled together for 8 or 10 minutes; let cool; add

gallons of good French brandy. Filter.

Boiled and skimmed for half an hour; when cold add

1% gallon of good French brandy. Filter.

10 gallons of water filled in a fountain receiver; add

8yi ounces of crystallized citric acid; add 8}^ ounces

of bicarbonate of soda in lumps or crystals; screw on

the pipe quick; shake it to dissolve.
