60 years of welded pipe production
In 1954 Officine Orsi began its activity
producing welded pipes and small
stainless steel tanks. Year after year
the business has grown, and the initial
product range has extended to fittings
and pressure vessels for the chemical
and pharmaceutical industries.
The application field of products was
further extended to offshore and oil and
gas, introducing new materials such
as titanium, Duplex and Super Duplex,
and superaustenitic stainless steels.
The dimension range of welded pipes
has recently been further extended,
with wall thicknesses up to 60mm and
lengths up to 12m.
For the purpose of improving product
quality, the company has implemented a
management system certified by Lloyd’s
Register for quality assurance, safety at
work and environmental protection in
accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001
and OHSAS 18001. The management
system of welding processes is certified
by TÜV in accordance with UNI EN ISO
3834-2. The company is also qualified
by TÜV for the supply of products that
comply with the Pressure Equipment
Directive 97/23/EC and the AD 2000
Merkblatt W0 and HPO. Certifications
from TÜV are obtained for the production
of components for the nuclear field, as
well as Statoil certification for production
according to Norsok M650 and ASME
U-Stamp from Lloyd’s Register.
The continuous expansion, and
investment in human resources,
equipment and qualifications allow
Officine Orsi to produce a complete
range of pipes, fittings, prefabricated
pipes and pressure vessels. Experience
in processing and welding special alloys,
the internal management of production
flows, and cooperation with major steel
mills help the company to understand
and solve customer problems, offering
products for the industrial plants
of the chemical, petrochemical,
pharmaceutical, offshore, oil and gas
and power generation industry.
With the flexibility of the production
system and the stock of raw materials
and finished products, a wide variety of
requests such as non-standard sizes,
small batch production and just-in-time
supply can be satisfied.
