Small cells (‘-cytes’) vs large cells (-’blasts’) vs mixed
small and large
•
Presence and extent of accompanying reactions
(histiocytes, granulomas, eosinophils, fibrosis, necrosis)
•
Architectural features: nodular (potentially follicular) vs
diffuse, and mixtures
•
Presence of defining cell types; Hodgkin/Reed-Sternberg
cells, popcorn cells, hallmark cells...
