Support the implementation of the
City’s digital knowledge management
solution, thereby reducing the City’s
carbon footprint through reduced use
of paper;
Implement complete on-line permitting
system for Single Family Building
Permits;
Initiate the “Designated Single Family
Designer” program;
Implement technology solutions,
business process automation and
mobile resource capabilities targeted at
reduced processing times and
enhanced customer service;
Continue to ensure an effective
development review process to
achieve Council adopted plans;
Continue to implement the Corporate
Knowledge Management Solution and
transform business operating models
from paper to digital, including process
automation;
Complete the Sustainability Charter
update and bring an updated Charter to
Council in early 2017, including a
communication and roll-out plan;
Continue to establish partnerships with
academic institutions and other groups
to complete needed research in pursuit
of the City’s sustainability vision and
goals.
Update the Sustainability Dashboard
with 2016 data and use this as the basis
for preparing the 2017 Sustainability
Annual Progress Report;
Carry on with the Council direction
regarding ISO 37120:2014 (Sustainable
development of communities)
certification for the City and if
approved, proceed with the reporting
process; and
Implement new work mobility
technology for Civic Facilities
maintenance staff.
