O-ring solution in pressfitting systems
Eurotubi’s LBP O-ring is designed to
ensure a perfect hydraulic seal on the
joint between the pipe and fitting in
pressfitting systems, and to make it
easy to identify unpressed fittings.
The LBP O-ring is polygonal, and is
made up of a succession of tubular
portions on a straight axis and constant
cross-section arranged in a ring. This
special arrangement allows numerous
passages between the un-deformed
O-ring and its seat.
If the fitting has not been pressed, the
special profile of the Eurotubi trickle
O-ring allows identification of abnormal
conditions both during the seal test and
visually through the ‘trickling’ of water
(in compliance with Worksheet DVGW
W 534). This feature is known as Leak
Before Press (LBP).
When the fitting is pressed, the O-ring
is deformed, filling and sealing all of the
spaces and ensuring a hermetic seal,
just like a traditional O-ring.
Eurotubi claims that its solution has
advantages over other types of trickle
O-ring: its shape is the most like the
traditional O-ring and it is the only gasket
with a constant circular cross section
along its entire length; and the risk of
leaks after pressing is avoided – this
can happen with trickle O-rings whose
profile has a noticeable deformation
where it coincides with the metal area
that is only slightly deformed by the
pressing (thus not hermetically sealing
all of the passages).
For diameters greater than 54mm, the
trickle function is ensured by the use
of the standard O-ring, also tested in
compliance with Worksheet DVGW W
534.

Small diameter pipe
alignment
The Pipeswizard Dragon Jaw is a lightweight clamp suitable for all kinds of pipe
alignment, both in the workshop and in the field. The clamp has previously been
branded under different names for numerous companies, so it may be familiar,
but by another name.
An alternative to the Pipeswizard EZ&Q Clamp (EZ Fit), the Dragon Jaw Clamp
covers pipes from 1" to 12" across the range of three clamps. This makes it a
suitable solution for aligning small diameter pipe where there is no ‘out of round’.
Suitable for stainless steel applications as standard without the need for special
shoes or screws, all contact points of the clamp are made from high quality
stainless steel, which eliminates risk of cross contamination. The clamps are
manufactured in the EU, and issued with full CE and Conformity certification.
For 2013, the clamps are available directly from the manufacturer.
