INTERNAL AUDIT
UPM Forestal Oriental
has an internal audit
department that constantly
monitors the companies
with which it works,
including its main
customer, the pulp mill in
Fray Bentos. It verifies that
they are all up-to-date in
terms of employment, tax
and social security law
and that they have a valid
accident insurance policy.
In 2014, 378 audits were
carried out in total, 256
audits in the field and 122
administrative audits.
