Bengal Ganga

The 56-guest

Bengal Ganga

, built in 2004,

hearkens back to an earlier era, when India’s

colonial-style steamers were used to ferry

important officials and celebrities through

far-flung deltas. All cabins have individually

controlled air conditioning, electronic mini-

safe, luggage storage, wardrobe, writing desk,

and amenities include a hairdryer, bathrobes,

and slippers. Upper and main deck cabins have

their own deck space with rattan chairs and

table outside the cabin. Public areas include

a sun deck, solarium, library, lounge and bar,

and dining room. Meals are served buffet

style, with mainly Indian cuisine but also some

Western choices. An open-bridge policy is

in effect at most times. The

Bengal Ganga

is

served by a crew of 30.

Caledonian Sky & Island Sky

Built in 1991 as a private yacht, the

Caledonian

Sky

has been completely refurbished to become

an elegant expedition vessel. She carries 100-

114 guests, depending on the destination,

in spacious suites offering ocean views,

sitting area (some with a private balcony),

well-appointed bathrooms, flat-screen TV,

telephone, personal safe, hairdryer, and mini-

fridge. The ship also has a dining room, two

bars, library, lounge with panoramic floor-to-

ceiling windows, a medical clinic and doctor,

small gym and salon, ample outdoor decks,

and an elevator that serves all decks. A fleet of

Zodiacs allows landings at remote locations.

We also offer cruises aboard her sister ship, the

Island Sky

Callisto

The elegant 34-guest

Callisto

offers an

intimate experience aboard a boutique yacht.

Her small size allows visits to unspoiled ports,

pristine beaches, and coves and harbors that are

familiar to fishermen and other sailors of small

craft, but inaccessible to large cruise liners. The

spacious staterooms are beautifully furnished,

and all have sea views (with large windows on

the Leto deck and portholes on the Daphne

deck). Cabins are air conditioned and feature

twin or double beds, telephone, TV/DVD,

minisafe, minibar, and marble-appointed bath

with shower. The lounge is warm and inviting,

and meals are served at a single, unassigned

seating in the spacious dining area or

al fresco

on one of her decks. Serviced by a crew of 18,

the

Callisto

also features a library, email service,

Jacuzzi, and a swimming platform.
