Cuba Cultural Adventure

ABOARD THE

VARIETY VOYAGER

Take a step back in time and be prepared for an amazing,

eye-opening experience of Cuba. In Havana, musicians

gather on almost every corner as vintage ‘51 Fords roll

down the street. In the sparsely populated Guanahacabibes

Peninsula, discover natural wonders and miles of coral

reef, and along the southern coast, enjoy colonial Trinidad

and elegant Cienfuegos, set against white-sand beaches.

Reverse departures are also offered.

DAYS 1-2 MIAMI / HAVANA

Fly from Miami to Havana

and embark. Visit a cultural art project where large, bright

Afro-Cuban murals line the walls along the street, and explore

Old Havana, now a World Heritage Site, at your leisure. In

the evening, enjoy an exchange with several Grammy-winning

members of the famous Buena Vista Social Club. Head to

Artemisa to visit the UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve

region and small eco-community of Las Terrazas in the

mountains. Here you’ll visit the houses and studios of local Cuban

artists. Return to Havana with time to explore more of the Old

Town and its plazas on your own.

Baja: Exploring the Sea of Cortez

ABOARD A

HISTORIC WOODEN MOTOR YACHT

Set in the brilliant turquoise waters of the Sea of Cortez, this

adventure brings you up close to the wonders of Baja. Sea

kayak through the mangroves of Isla Espiritu Santo, snorkel

with playful sea lions, and track sperm whales and blue

whales—the largest creatures to roam the earth—in the “Blue

Triangle.” Your journey includes a 3-day adventure to Bahia

Magdalena (or Laguna San Ignacio) for up-close encounters

with gray whales. Reverse departures are also offered.

DAYS 1-2 ISLA ESPIRITU SANTO / SEA OF CORTEZ

From

La Paz, navigate to enchanting Isla Espiritu Santo, with its remote

white-sand beaches, keeping an eye out for pods of dolphins. Sea

kayak and snorkel with playful sea lions near the tiny uninhabited

islands that dot the Sea of Cortez.

DAYS 3-6 BLUE TRIANGLE

Your intrepid vessel brings you to

the “Blue Triangle,” where you’ll watch for breaching blue, sperm,

and humpback whales.

DAYS 7-11 BAHIA MAGDALENA / GRAY WHALES
