Condat will focus on its aluminum wire

drawing lubricants range at this year’s

Interwire.

The use of aluminum is increasing in

the electrical industry, due to its cost

efficiency compared to copper and

its conductivity, light weight and

electromechanical properties. Aluminum

wires are now used in high voltage

power cable, magnet wire and in some

automotive wire.

Condat’s Vicafil

TM

TFA neat oils range

is designed to offer low residues and

extended operating life. Its specifically

formulated additives package minimizes

thermal oxidation, maintaining longer

lubricant performance. Bath life is

increased and maintenance costs

reduced. Low viscosity Vicafil TFA 1167

and Vicafil TFA 1460 reduce lubricant

consumption while offering high lubricity,

with a specialized formulation that

provides extended operating life without

the need for maintenance additives.

For drawing both aluminum and copper

wire, Condat has developed the Vicafil

TAL range. These water-based lubricants

also contribute to a cleaner working

environment.

Finally, for aluminum wire stranding and

compacting, Condat offers a range

of vanishing stranding lubricants that

leave very low residues while minimizing

flammability and reducing VOCs. Those

products are entirely compatible with

subsequent plastic insulation processes,

allowing perfect adhesion and no

bubbling.
