Light Brigade is now offering a four-day,
instructor-led “fiber to the antenna”
course. Engineers who work on extending
fiber to equipment on towers and
rooftops, or for distributed antenna system
applications, face unique challenges.
The new course is designed to provide
a thorough understanding of fiber optic
technology and the best practices for
integration and installation of optical
components in these applications.
Using a blend of classroom and hands-on
training, students will become proficient
in cable preparation, splicing and testing,
as well as the essential procedures for
connector cleaning and inspection. Class
attendees can earn the ETA International
fiber to the antenna certification by
passing a skills test and a written exam
given at the conclusion of the course.
“We are excited to continue to provide
training opportunities for specialty
applications within the fiber optic
communications industry,” said Lee
Kellett, general manager. “These courses
give our customers the specific training
they need and can take directly to the
field.”
The FTTA course is currently scheduled in
Las Vegas, Seattle and Washington, DC,
or can be delivered directly to customer
locations.
