VIDAS® LPT test is an enzyme phage ligand assay for use on the automated VIDAS®

system for the detection of
Listeria
antigens using the Enzyme Linked Fluorescent Assay

(ELFA) method. The assay also incorporates phage proteins allowing an increase in
28
sensitivity and specificity compared to traditional immunoassays. The Solid Phase
29
Receptacle (SPR®) serves as the solid phase as well as the pipetting device. The interior
30
of the SPR® is coated with proteins specific for
Listeria
receptors adsorbed on its

surface. Reagents for the assay are ready-to-use and pre-dispensed in the sealed reagent
32
strips.
