General Comments about the Method Scope / Applicability:

1

Clearly stated and scientifically supported

2

The method is applicable to a variety of relevant foods and food manufacturing surfaces as shown in

the pre-collaborative study

3

4

The method scope/applicability are appropriate.

5

We need to figure out what can be claimed with this method.

VIDAS LMX was validated with two broths depending on the sample size:

For 25 g samples – LMX broth and LMX test is used and matrixes evaluated for this sample size and

combination apply

For 125 g samples – LPT broth and LMX test is used and matrixes evaluated for this sample size and

combination apply

For the PTM, the applicability of the method is sample size dependent. Soft cheese and ground beef

are evaluated for 125 g with LPT broth only. Deli ham and deli turkey were evaluated at 25g sample

size.

For the OMA, the applicability seems expanded. The cheese were tested on the LMX broth also at

both sample sizes.

6

Data shows the method is applicable for the matrices listed in the scope.

7

As per pre-collaborative studies
