. Streak chosen colonies individually onto surfaces of separate

Biochemical tests will be performed with one of the following rapid methods

following package insert instructions. Follow instructions described in AOAC

993.12 (Appendix 9.7) for additional tests.

VITEK2 GP: perfom Gram stain (Gram +) followed by VITEK2 GP card.

API Listeria: perform Gram stain (Gram +), catalase (+), oxidase (-),

hemolysis and motility (motile at 25

C) tests followed by the API Listeria

strip.

Final Results

All results are to be recorded on the data sheets provided. For each test portion, record the
16
results reported by the VIDAS method along with the confirmation results for both the VIDAS
17
and reference methods. Immediately upon completion of each food type, the data sheet should
18
be faxed or emailed to TBD, co-Study Director.
