water forum
First launched in 2003, the international
water forum Aqua Ukraine became the
largest annual event in Ukraine focused
on all sides of industrial and municipal
water use.
Aqua Ukraine 2008, to be held in Kiev,
Ukraine, 7-10 October, will unite the
work of the specialised exhibition
with the science conference Water &
Environment (organised by the Ministry
for Environmental Protection of Ukraine
and the State Committee of Ukraine of
Water Management).
The event promotes the implemen-
tation in Ukraine of advanced
technologies and modern materials for
water preparation, water supply and
water disposal, the latest engineering
systems, pipelines and other equipment
for supplying customers with water
resources.
The exhibition will allow Ukrainian and
foreign companies to present their
products and technologies to a wide
range of visitors.

Participants in the race will travel 1,600 miles around the coastline of Great Britain ▲ ▲
Valsir, Italy, produces advanced systems for soil and waste, and for heating and
potable water. Products include a complete range of polypropylene pipes and
fittings with quick-fit joints, and high-density polyethylene electrofusion pipes
and fittings; a broad range of in-wall and exposed cisterns (50 models); the
modern Silere system, a range of pipes and fittings manufactured using sound
absorbing material; the Pexal multi-layer pipe system, with the relative fittings;
a wide selection of traps and specific equipment; and a new floor heating
system.
The company has sponsored Team Pulsar in the Round Britain Offshore
Powerboat Race 2008, described as the ‘Everest of Powerboat Racing’. Over
60 boats, crew and support teams were lined up to take part in the 1,600 mile
marathon race. Team Pulsar has entered two boats in the race, and aims to
contribute the proceeds of the race to a children’s charity.

Hypertherm
announces double-
digit increase in
stock valuation
Hypertherm has announced a new
valuation for its stock of $43.25 per
share, for a year over year increase of
nearly 15%. The new price compares
with a 2006 valuation of $37.75 per
share.
The valuation follows a strong year
for Hypertherm, in which the company
experienced record sales and earnings. It
is the fifth consecutive year the company
has posted double-digit growth.
“Continued strong demand for our
products, both domestically and
internationally, along with Hypertherm’s
commitment to continuously improve
has allowed Hypertherm to thrive in these
tough economic times,” commented
Carey Chen, the company’s chief
financial officer.
As a private associate owned company,
the 2007 share price for Hypertherm
was determined by an independent
appraisal by New Hampshire-based
Atlantic Management Company, which
looked at factors such as current
financial performance, future cash flow
prospects, and the market value of other
industrial product companies similar to
Hypertherm.
Hypertherm launched the Hypertherm
Stock Ownership Plan (a qualified
ESOP) in 2001. At the time, shares
were valued at approximately $7 each.
The company’s international associates
take part in a similar programme
called the Global Stock Value Plan
(GSVP).
