In a silence of concentration
You are whirling
As if within
A shaft of dense light,
Whirling
And whirling
In calm delight
Yet
Immobile,
Self-gathered,
Perfectly poised,
A sphere of golden fire
At your side –
Sweet Ganesha,
Ancient and so young
And present
At the threshold
Of all time,
Holding, holding within
The Lord and the Shakti
To forever bless
Nature and the Soul…
