Sometimes Sri Ganesh

You travel far and wide,

The great Ambassador,

With a silent retinue

About you –

And thus you appear, attired in splendor,

A stole of sun-born riches trailing from

Your massive form filled

With knowing calm –

A neutral observer

And a channel

For the Force which can

Create and preserve and

Annihilate –

But the wealth of your garb

Is both a reminder and

A promise

Of ever perfectible

Harmony…

Aum Namo Ganapataye

Wherever you appear,

Sri Ganesh,

That is, wherever you are invoked,

Your compact figure becomes at once

A link and a bridge –

It joins the planes,

Like the pillar of Agni,

It is vested with

Their native powers,

Yet distinct

And free –

For it belongs only

To the Origin

And

The Shakti –

Today Sri Ganesh
