You appear
Yourself
As
A brazier,
Calm and rich and profound,
A jeweled bridge
From darkness to light –
From the infinite immobility
That allows Matter
To accrete
And mass to form and aggregate,
To the white eternity that calls
For freedom and delight –
Your brazier is cultured and
Caring,
Its wealth
Is tranquil
And knowing,
Beautiful Ganesha…

Today
That strong, ample, peaceful
Original majesty,
The completeness
Of the beginnings, -
Before all experience began –
And it may also be,
In the amplitude of its balance,
The sign of that plenitude
We all seek,
When the substance gathered
From all experience
Can at last
Be offered
