You are riding your mount,
Silent in the silence of the forest,
Soberly yet richly attired
By the power of your knowledge,
A quiet and sure Emissary
Of the Shakti
Holding in trust the significant attributes
And faculties
For Her work of progressive creation
In Matter –
You, of the most ancient lineage,
Intimate with the sacred gold
Of earth’s purity –
Silently you move
Across Her forest
And your silent figure thrills
With profound sweetness...
