GMF Operation New Blue External Q&A
GM Financial Operation New Blue External Q&A 1
May 1, 2014
Operation New Blue rewards GM dealers for choosing GM Financial to help with their
customer’s auto financing needs. This program is designed to help provide financing
assistance on new GM vehicles for customers with lower credit scores. Operation New
Blue is fairly straightforward. Financing your used cars through GM Financial actually
earns your dealership rewards that will increase new GM vehicle sales.
The Operation New Blue vouchers give dealers two options. You may use the reward to
reduce the APR on a GM Financial contract, or offer down payment assistance on a GM
Financial contract as well as participate in the GM
earn
POWER™ incentive program.
Dealers may elect to opt out of the
earn
POWER feature at their discretion.
Traditional Subvention and contracts approved with a buy rate below 8% APR are not
eligible for Operation New Blue or
earn
POWER incentives.
Below is a Q&A that may help answer some of your questions:
Question: What is Operation New Blue (ONB)?
Answer: GM Financial would like to finance as many vehicle sales from your dealership
as possible! With that as our goal, the ONB program was designed to reward GM
dealers for their continued loyalty. The program allows GM dealers to earn financing
assistance for customers with credit scores of 619 or lower and, ultimately, increase new
GM car sales!
Question: How do I participate in Operation New Blue?
Answer: It’s actually quite simple. GMF sets a reasonable used car benchmark for
contracts funded through GMF during a 60-day program period. Every two used car
contracts funded beyond the benchmark, within the program period, earns a new GM
voucher with an opportunity for the finance office to participate in the GM
earn
Power
incentive program. Contracts approved with a buy rate below 8% APR are not eligible.
Question: How do I opt out of the
earn
POWER feature?
Answer: Dealers are automatically enrolled with the
earn
POWER feature. In order to opt
out, the dealer principal or general manager will be required to complete an
acknowledgment form. The opt out form removes the
earn
POWER feature and reduces
the voucher incentive value. Refer to the table on page 3. Once the acknowledgment
form is received, the dealership will be removed from the
earn
POWER feature on the
following Monday.
Question: How do I get a copy of the acknowledgment form to opt out?
Answer: You can contact your Dealer Relationship Manager (DRM) or call 888-556-4616
to obtain an acknowledgment form.
