Dr Ashish Kulkarni,
vice president
of Technology and
Innovation at
Ticona, to deliver a
plenary address at
EUROTEC 2011.
Dr Kulkarni’s presentation is entitled “When
the worlds collide: plastics and applications”
and will assert that timescale and process
differences, in the way engineers in the
plastics world and those in the applications
world operate, impedes innovation.
Prior to joining Ticona, Dr Kulkarni was vice
president of global engineering, building
systems, for the Carrier Corporation (a United
Technologies company).
He holds masters and doctoral degrees
in chemical engineering from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, and a B Tech
in chemical engineering from Osmania
University, India.

VeriFeed™ and Syncro Cam
Timing System for slide forming
machines, as well as a line of
precision grade wire straighteners.
TAK introduced a design for a
fine wire (.006” and over) payoff
that included a “French Curve”
reservoir, ultra-low friction guide
rollers, and wire “snag’ sensing
ability. Also, during the past 30
years, the contract production
activity of TAK Enterprises has
shipped several billion surgical
staples and clips.
During its 30 years of business,
TAK Enterprises has supplied
equipment and services to many
small- and Fortune 500-sized
companies serving the medical
device, automotive, aerospace,
appliance, electronic, electrical,
spring, wire forming, and dental
markets.
TAK Enterprises Inc. designs,
manufactures, represents
and markets precision wire
straighteners, custom feed
and cut-off systems, servo-feed
systems, wire payoffs, cleaner/
lubricators, and a variety of
time-saving machine accessories
for managing linear material.
All this in addition to producing
precision small and miniature
parts such as surgical staples,
electronic contacts, appliance
spring clips, and dental pins.
