Mount Baker

Mount Baker has amazing views in late summer,

especially from Artist’s Point. On clear days, visitors

are treated to 360-degree views of Mount Shuksan and

Mount Baker and stunning views of mountain lakes and

glaciers. Take an escorted 1/2 mile walk at Picture Lake

displaying Mount Shuksan’s spectacular reflection and

an escorted 2-mile loop walk around the Bagley Lakes.

This walk has big views of Mount Baker, alpine lakes

and well-maintained trail winding through meadows and

heather with blueberry bushes. Includes lunch at Milano’s

Restaurant on the scenic Mount Baker Highway, bottled

water and trail snack bar. Valid passport or Nexus pass or

enhanced drivers license or enhanced BCID required.

Bard on the Beach

– The Winter’s Tale 

Celebrating its 28th Season in 2017, Bard on the Beach

is Western Canada’s largest not-for-profit, professional

Shakespeare Festival. Presented in a magnificent

setting on the waterfront in Vancouver’s Vanier Park,

the Festival offers Shakespeare featuring The Winter’s

Tale on a late summer afternoon 2:00pm performance.

The Winter’s Tale: A family’s sixteen-year journey takes

them from tragedy to redemption, in a magical and

awe-inspiring adventure story. Arrive early to the Bard

Village for The Bard Boutique offering a wide selection

of Shakespearean books, mementos and clothing and

reserved picnic area for Bard Picnic lunch by Emelle’s.

Don’t miss the insightful free In A Nutshell talk before

each play performance.

Wildlife Nature Tour

Escape from urban life and get into nature in Harrison

Mills, Chehalis and Mission for seasonal wildlife viewing

and a peaceful nature walk. Rolley Lake Provincial

Park provides a beautiful setting for an escorted, easy

walk through the peaceful woodlands to the bridge that

crosses over the rushing Rolley Creek. Visit Weaver Creek

Spawning Channel to view spawning sockeye salmon and

Eagle Point Community Park to see the start of the bald

eagle season in the Chehalis River Estuary. Trumpeter

Swans and many other waterfowl and bird species join

bald eagles that congregate near this vantage point to

feed on salmon. This tour includes a delicious lunch

at the highly rated Martin’s Downtown in Mission.

Boeing Factory Tour + Amtrak

(USA)

Tour the largest building in the world by volume ~ The

Boeing Company and ride the Amtrak from Bellingham to

Everett. Take the Boeing Factory Tour and see airplanes

in various stages of flight test and manufacture for airline

customers around the world. This tour includes a buffet

lunch at the Golden Corral, 1.5 hour guided tour of the

Boeing Factory, admission to the Boeing Gallery, time

to shop at the Boeing Store and a scenic waterview

Arts Whistler Holiday Market

Whistler’s Original Artisan Market has built a reputation of

presenting unique, quality, handmade arts and crafts for

TRIPS TO USA: Mount Baker and Boeing Factory

A valid Canadian passport, Nexus-pass, chip-enhanced

driver’s license or chip-enhanced BCID is required to

cross US border. Participant is responsible for own

medical insurance and to ensure they have proper

documentation for crossing both the US and Canadian

borders. Anyone with a non-Canadian passport may have

to purchase a Visa to enter the USA for the day or to

re-enter Canada.

BC FERRY TRIPS: Secret Cove Sunshine Coast

BC ferry passenger fees are included in trip price only for

seniors with proof of BC residency and 65+ years of age.

An additional BC ferry fee (approx. $16 return) applies to

those under the age of 65 and to anyone who is not a BC

resident and is to be paid in cash to the bus driver. Ferry

rates are subject to change.
