back. Noisy in particular
came to mind, because I
knew for sure Noisy had
never liked me. It had
always been a mammoth
task keeping him at bay
and Glea was one of the
reasons for his hostility.
In the days when I’d first
moved in there Glea had
liked me a lot and Noisy
had liked Glea a lot,
hence the jealousy angle.
And Aggie had liked me
because Glea liked me and
Blake didn’t move in till
the week after I did so he
wasn’t a factor, and Noisy
had to sort of pretend
he didn’t mind me or
he’d have looked a saddo
in front of Glea. Blake
joined the house, as I say,
a week later, and because
of the way things were at
the time he was taken in
by appearances and liked
me too, no problem. Until
he got to know me, or
thought he got to know
me, and started to revise
his opinion.
Then, over the next few
months Noisy and Flake
kind of reconstructed
a new bad-me figure
between the two of
them, and when Glea saw
me with a girl one night
and knew she wasn’t
getting anywhere she
was miffed and readily
joined in. And Aggie
being Aggie followed suit.
And amazingly, without
anything much being
said, or at least I don’t
see what could have been
said as I hadn’t actually
done anything that you
could put a finger on, I
became house victim.
