Legal Appointment.

MR. FRANCIS F. CULLINAN, of Ennis. Crown

Solicitor for the County of Clare,, has been

appointed to the combined office of Crown

Solicitor and Sessional Crown Solicitor for the

said County.

Obituary.

MR. BERNARD M. TOOLE, Solicitor, Loughrea,

died upon

the 4th November, 1913. at

Loughrea.

Mr. Toole, who served his apprenticeship

with Mr.

J. W. Blake, of, :Galway, was

admitted

in Trinity. Sittings,

1390, and

practised at Loughrea.

MR. THOMAS K. HERLEY, Solicitor, died on

the 4th November. 1913, at Cork.

Mr. Herley served his apprenticeship with

the late Mr. Sylvester Gillman, Cork, and

subsequently with Mr. John Stanton, Cork,

and was admitted in Trinity Sittings. 1880,

and practised at Cork.

MR. RANDALL McDoNNELi., Solicitor, died

upon

the

llth November,

1913,

at his

residence,

2 Grove Avenue, Blackrock,

County Dublin.

Mr. McDonnell, who served his apprentice

ship with the late Mr. W. C. Hogan, YorlJ

Street, Dublin, was admitted in Easter Term,

1877, and practised at 9 Suffolk Street,

Dublin, up to the year' 1882, in which year

he was appointed Principal Assistant in the

Solicitor's Department of

the Irish Land

Commission, and in 1890 he was appointed

Assistant Solicitor to the Irish Land Com

mission, which position he occupied up to the

time of his death.

MR. ROBERT W. HANCOCK, Solicitor, Tralee,

died upon the 16th November, 1913, at his

residence, Denny Street, Tralee.

Mr. Hancock served his apprenticeship

with Mr. Wm. H. Hancock, of Lisburn, and

was admitted in Trinity Sittings, .1890, and

practised at Belfast up to the year 1911

when he removed to Tralee.

MR. WILLIAM MOONEY, Solicitor, died upon

the 22nd November, 1913, at his residence,

Leixlip Castle, County Dublin.

Mr. Mooney served his apprenticeship with

his father, the late Mr. Edmond Mooney, and

was admitted in Trinity Term, 1847. He was

a member of the firm of Messrs. Wm. Mooney

& Son, of 16 Fleet Street, Dublin,

up

to the

year 1902.

In the year 1860 Mr. Mooney was appointed

Clerk of the Crown and Sessional Crown

Solicitor for County Westmeath, and in the

year 1894 he was appointed to the office of

Clerk of the Crown and Peace for County

Westmeath, which office he held up to the

time of his death. He was a member of the

Council of the Society from 1887-91.

MR. CORNELIUS O'KEEFFE, Solicitor, died

upon

tht 22nd November, 1913, at his

residence, Clanricarde, Blackrock Road, Cork.

Mr. O'Keeffe served his apprenticeship with

his father, the late Mr. William O'Keeffe,

Cork, and was admitted in Hilary Term. 1866.

He was a member of the firm of Messrs.

O'Keeffe and Lynch, of 30 Molesworth Street,

Dublin, and Cork.

MR. WILLIAM E. COUNIHAN, Solicitor, died

upon

the 24th November,

1913, at his

residence, Ballinacush, Limerick.

Mr. Counihan served his apprenticeship

with Mr. John Ryan, Limerick, and was

admitted

in Trinity Sittings,

1881,

and

practised at -Limerick.

MR. OWEN A. ARMSTRONG, Solicitor, Dublin,

died on

the 26th November,

1913,

at

Harrogate, Yorkshire.

Mr. Armstrong served his apprenticeship

with the late Mr. R. O. Longfield, Upper

Sackville Street, Dublin, and was admitted

in Hilary Term,, 1873. He was a member of

the firm of Messrs. Longfield, Kelly and

Armstrong, of 25 Clare Street, Dublin.

MR. THOMAS ARKINS, Solicitor, died on the

28th November, 1913, at Dublin.

Mr. Arkins served his apprenticeship with

Mr. Richard Davoren,

13 Dame Street,

Dublin, and was admitted in Trinity Sittings,

1913, and practised at 13 Dame Street,

Dublin.
