Chipless

cut-off

machine

THE TCM10 from Ravni Technologies

straightens and cuts steel tubes (brake

tubes or gas oil tubes), copper tubes and

coated tubes, from 4 to 10mm OD. The

standard line includes a single or double

motorised decoiler which is synchronised

with the machine. The defect controller

or a junction controller is usually placed

before the straightening machine.

The tube is pulled up to 180m/min

thanks to the caterpillars, and is clinched

into two sets of jaws and cut with a wheel.

Production rate is 18 parts (4m-long) per

minute, and the tolerance level is ±0.5mm

over 4m.

After the tube has been cut, the bars

can be discarded in many ways. The scraps

fall directly into a special box, and the

main lengths are evacuated in front of the

machine after going through several stages

where they can be tied. Other lengths can

be evacuated on the rear of the cutting

bench.

All functions are programmable on the

screen in conversational language, and

the line is managed by a CNC and an

industrial PC. Ravni Technologies includes

training and set-up of its machines, all over

the world.
