exploration. Stay, play and learn, then

head outside to extend your adventure

with discoveries in the forest.

Sheep to Shawl

Competition

All ages, by donation

Cheer on local teams as flying fingers

spin and ply sheep’s wool into yarn, then

weave a beautiful shawl, all in four hours.

Watch real sheep being sheared, try

weaving and spinning yourself, and make

woolly crafts with your kids.

Week

Knowing what to do when a disaster

strikes will help you better control the

situation and be in a position to recover

more quickly.

Learn 4 steps:

• how to minimize hazards in the home

• what supplies are needed

• what to do during and after an

emergency

• how to evacuate or shelter-in-place

All attendees will be entered into a draw

for one family emergency preparedness

kit (supplies a family of 4). The courses

are free, a light refreshment will be

provided, and registration is required.

Mother’s Day

at the Glades

Celebrate Mother’s Day in a blooming

woodland garden. Wander through the

paths, pause by the ponds, and enjoy live

music throughout this enchanting garden.

Gourmet coffees, teas and hot chocolate

will be available for purchase. This event

also features a spring plant sale. No

pets. Limited wheelchair access with

bark mulch paths and moderate inclines.

Parking is limited.
