Releaf program provides a chance for
individuals, schools, and community
groups to get outside, enhance Surrey’s
urban forest, and improve their
neighbourhoods by planting trees in
parks and along streets.
Clean Sweep
Clean Sweep week is an annual Earth
Day tradition! Join other residents of
all ages to help beautify Surrey by
organizing your own clean-up or drop-in
to a clean-up event. Visit
www.surrey. ca/eventsfor information, dates and
locations.
Bin Keeper
Become a Bin keeper and care for a
park bin in your neighbourhood park!
The Bin keeper program began in 1991
to address littering in our parks. Since
then, many volunteers help year-round
to keep our parks litter-less by rolling
bins out to the curb for collection.
Park Care
Enjoy the outdoors while improving your
local park or green space. Remove litter,
weed garden beds, remove invasive
plants and more. You will be provided
with the necessary tools, knowledge,
and support. Various opportunities
available for an individual or group and
flexible to your schedule.
Drop-in Volunteering
Drop-in for the day and work with other
volunteers to beautify and improve our
parks. Drop-in opportunities are open
to volunteers of all ages; all tools and
instruction are provided.
Activities include removing invasive
plants; planting trees, shrubs, and bulbs;
cleaning up litter; and weeding garden
beds. Sign-up on the mailing list to
receive emails about drop-in events.
