and Orpen, Dublin, up to the year 1910,

when he was 'appointed Examiner of Titles

in the Irish Land Commission, and in 1923

he was also appointed Public Trustee.

MR. PATRICK J. KAVANAGH, senior, Soli–

citor, died on 3rd November, 1941, at his

residence, " Ardfallen," Cork.

Mr. Kavanagh served his apprenticeship

to the late Mr. Philip W. Bass, Cork, was

admitted

in Trinity Sittings,

1898, and

practised at Cork under the style of P. W.

Bass & Co.

Mr. Kavanagh was one of the representa–

tives of the Southern Law Association on

the Council of the Society from the year 1920

to 1936.

MR. GEORGE GREEN, Solicitor, died on

15th November, 1941, at his residence, 28

Waltham Terrace, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

Mr. Green was admitted in Michaelmas

Sittings, 1894, and practised at 52 Dame

Street, up to 1940, when he retired.

MR. DANIEL MACLAUGHLIN, Solicitor, died

on 17th November, 1941, at his residence,

Breezemount, Coleraine.

Mr. MacLaughlin was admitted in Trinity

Sittings, 1877, and practised at Coleraine.

MR. THOMAS W. FRANKS, Solicitor, died

on 18th November, 1941, at his residence,

Weston House, Dundrum, Co. Dublin.

Mr. Franks served his apprenticeship to

the late Mr. Thomas C. Franks, Dublin, was

admitted

in Hilary Sittings,

1906,

and

practised at 21 Lower Fitzwilliam Street,

Dublin, as a member of the firm of Franks

and Oulton.
