In
the bottom of a tall glass put one teaspoon
of sugar and a few dashes of fresh lemon juice.
Add three or four pieces of ice and one wine
glass of gin. Fill the glass with soda water, stir
very gently, so that the soda does not foam up
in the glass, remove the ice and drink.
GIN FIZZ
Into a highball glass put one-half tablespoon
of powdered sugar and four or .five dashes of
fresh lemon juice. Fill the glass with .finely
shaved ice and pour over it one wine glass of
gin. Stir thoroughly and drain the liquid off
into another tall glass. Fill up with seltzer or
Vichy.
