Law Clerks Joint Labour

Committee - Employment

Regulations Order

At a meeting of the Law Clerks Joint

Labour Committee held on 15 July,

1993 the application of the third phase

of the PESP (an increase of 3.75%) to

the rates of pay of employees covered

by the Law Clerks JLC was approved.

The Employment Regulation Order

covering this increase took effect from

23 August, 1993. Members are advised

that, as the Employment Regulation

Order which covered the last increase

took effect from 6 July, 1992, and the

effective date implementation of the

latest increase is 23 August, 1993,

employees who are covered by the JLC

rates of pay have had to wait over a year

before receiving an increase in pay.

Members may, therefore, wish to

consider backdating the implementation

of the latest increase to 6 July, 1993.
