Supplement 2 to the ATEX Certificate confirms that this model of sensor falls into
Category 1.
This sensor cannot be classified as Type 1 from the ATEX Certificate as the power supplied
by the isolator (45mW) is higher than the input power for Type 1 (34mW). Type 2 satisfies
input voltage, current and power considerations while giving a very conservative ambient
temperature limit of 49°C to achieve T6.
