Clamping

Systems

3

Design:

Adapter mat, rubber.

Application:

The sealing cord is inserted into the raster of the rubber adapter mat. Go up to

the end of the area to be machined in the workpiece. Next, the adapter mat is placed onto the

vacuum clamping plate. The adapter mat is perforated within the marked clamping surface

using a 3-5 mm ∅ hole punch. The location of the holes must be in the area of the raster cuts

of the vacuum clamping plate. The workpiece to be machined is placed on it and fixed using

the adjustable eccentric stops.

Benefits:

• The good coefficient of friction offers very good resistance to displacement forces arising

during processing

• The adapter mat can be cut into up to 2 mm deep without problem

• When always using with the same contours, the adapter mat can often be reused as there will

be no wear

Vacuum clamping plate

Design:

Vacuum plate with slots and suction points on the upper side. Easy positioning via

holes for stop pins or lateral, height-adjustable eccentric stops Lateral grooves or fastening

holes allow the vacuum clamping plate to be fastened to a base plate. Fixture plates can

additionally be fixed using a sword or locating pin. By inserting the sealing cord, one or more

fields can be defined for the desired workpiece size. All suction points are interconnected.

Application:

The workpieces to be processed are clamped by the creation of a

vacuum using the integrated venturi nozzle technology or with an external

vacuum pump. By means of individual grid allocation it is also possible

to clamp and machine multiple, different workpieces at the same time.

The vacuum clamping plate is ready to use right away since all of the

necessary components are included in the scope of supply. Typical

applications are milling and grinding jobs.

Benefits:

• Vacuum clamping plates can be operated both with compressed air

using the integrated venturi nozzle, and with an external vacuum pump

• Save money by using the venturi nozzle

• Low operating costs thanks to low compressed air use

• Vacuum plates can be combined

• High holding forces

• For universal use

• High coefficient of friction allows for secure clamping

of non-processed workpiece surfaces

• The sealing cords balance small irregularities on the workpiece surface

• Non-warping and vibration-free five-side processing

Scope of delivery:

Vacuum clamping plate made of aluminium, integrated

venturi nozzle, sound absorber, vacuum meter, cut-off valve, 6 eccentric

stops, 2 m pneumatic hose, male coupling for compressed air connection

and 10 m sealing cord ∅ 4.5 mm.

Note:

Operation only with dry, filtered and non-oiled compressed air max.

suction volumes vs atmosphere: 21.8 l/min. Operating pressure for max.

suction volume flow: 3.5 bar. Please consult the assembly instructions.

The mounting holes make it easy to integrate the vacuum clamping plate

into the AMF Zero-Point clamping system.
