4.4.4 Taurine calibration standard
To prepare a 2.5 mM of Tau stock solution, add 31.29 mg of Tau to 100 mL water.
Prepare 0.5 mM of Tau standard solution by diluting 5 times stock solution with water.
Prepare 0.05 mM of Tau standard solution by diluting 10 times Tau standard solution 0.5 mM with
water.
Calibration standards can be stored at -20 °C for up to 6 months.
4.4.5 Cystine calibration standard
To prepare a 10 mM of cystine stock solution add 240 mg of Cystine to 100 mL 0.05 M NaOH.
Prepare 1 mM of cystine by diluting 10 times 10 mM cystine stock solution in water.
Cystine standard stock solution can be stored at -20 °C for up to 6 months.
4.4.6 Solvents for Chromatography (mobile phases)
4.4.6.1 Eluent A (Solvent A)
Prepare Eluent A using AccQ•Tag™ Ultra Eluent A concentrate, following instructions of supplier.
Note: Eluent A concentrate, once opened, must be stored tightly capped at around 4 °C.
Diluted Eluent A can be used for 2 to 3 days at room temperature.
4.4.6.2 Eluent B (Solvent B)
AccQ•Tag Eluent B is supplied as a working solution; no additional preparation is required. Eluent B,
once opened, must be stored tightly capped at around 4 °C for no longer than 1 month.
Alternatively, HPLC-grade Acetonitrile supplemented with 0.1% (v/v) formic acid can be used.
