ice,
put
in
a
tea-
spoonful
of
powdered
sugar
and
a
new-laid
egg
;
add
a
liqueur-glass
of
brandy
and
one
of
rum.
Shake
well
and
strain
off
Floster.
American
Sensation.
A
gill
of
sherry,
half
a
gill
of
noyeau,
six
peach
leaves,
three
slices
of
lemon,
half
an
ounce
of
sugar,
a
bottle
of
iced
soda
water,
and
a
lump
of
ice.
Ginger
Ale.
Take
one
gallon
of
plain
syrup,
two
and
a
half
ounces
of
citric
acid
dissolved
in
one
pint
of
water,
two
ounces
of
caramel,
essence
of
ginger
ale
one
ounce
and
a
half,
American
foam
one
ounce.
Honey
Drink.
Melt
the
honey
in
a
bainmarie
and
flavour
it
with
some
essence,
such
as
clove
or
lemon,
with
either
gin
or
brandy
in
the
proportion
of
quarter
of
an
ounce
of
essence
and
half
a
pint
of
spirit
to
each
one
pound
of
honey.
A
spoonful
of
this
prepared
honey
is
then
mixed
with
a
liqueur-glass-
ful
of
cognac
and
half
a
pint
of
hot
liquid.
