Take
a
long
thin
liqueur
glass,
put
in
half
a
liqueur-glassful
of
brandy
and
half
of
Maraschino
;
add
two
dashes
of
Angostura
bitters
on
the
top.
Brandy

Short
Drink.
Fill
a
tumbler
with
chipped
ice,
a
teaspoonful
of
powdered
sugar
;
squeeze
in
half
a
lemon,
add
a
teaspoonful
of
strawberry
syrup,
and
half
a
wine-
glassful
of
brandy,
the
paring
of
half
a
lemon.
Shake
well
and
strain
off.

three
slices
of
lemon
into
a
tumbler
with
a
few
slices
of
pine-apple
and
a
dessertspoonful
of
sifted
sugar
;
fill
up
with
shaven
Wenham
Lake
ice,
and
a
wineglass
of
brandy,
and
suck
through
straws.

One
gallon
of
plain
syrup
with
three
ounces
of
citric
acid
dissolved
in
a
pint
of
water,
to
which
add
one
ounce
of
caramel,
a
quarter
of
an
ounce
of
essence
of
champagne
cider,
and
three-quarters
of
an
ounce
of
American
foam.
