SUPREME COURT AND HIGH COURT

(FEES)

ORDER, 1968 ORDER

(S.I. No. 157 of 1968) came into operation on

29th July, 1968. It 'has the following effects :-

a. Abolishes Court Fees in habeas corpus, ex-

tradation and bail proceedings and in pro

ceedings in criminal cases by way of certiorari

and mandamus.

b. Prescribes new fees for official copies of wills

and grants of representation.

c. Restricts the application of one of the fees pay

able in the accountants office.

d. Restates, for the sake of clarification the

methods (as hitherto interpreted and applied

by the Court Officers concerned) of accessing

certain fees chargeable in the Office of the

Official Assignee in Bankruptcy and in the

accountants office.

The Statutory Instrument may be p urchased

LOCAL AUTHORITY LOANS

The Housing Authorities (Loans for Acquisition

or Construction of Houses) (Amendment) Re

gulations 1968 (S.I. No. 143 of 1968) amends the

existing regulations and provides that the amount

of a loan made by a Local Authority shall not

exceed :-
