of fixed dates may be considered at greater length in

a forthcoming Report on Courts Organisation.

(g) Service of documents by post

This topic has been dealt with in the part of the

Committee's Eighth Interim Report entitled Service of

Court Documents by Post. This Report, as already

mentioned, was published on 20th March last.

In regard to the remaining topics mentioned in

your letter, namely (f) General pleadings and (h)

Modernisation of High Court procedure, it is expected

that these will be dealt with in future Reports.

Issue of New Land Certificate

Applications have been received from the registered

owners mentioned in the Schedule annexed hereto, for

the issue of Certificates of Title in substitution for the

original Certificates issued in respect of the lands

specified in the said Schedule, which original Certi

ficates, it is alleged, have been lost or inadvertently

destroyed.

A new Certificate will be issued in each case, except a

case in respect of which notification is received in this

Registry within 28 days from the publication of this

notice, that the Certificate of Title is still in existence,

and in the custody of some person other than the

registered owner. Any such notification should state

the grounds on which such Certificate is being held.

OBITUARY

Mr. Stephen J. Cannon,
