Ant Hire secures £1mn contract with IWJS
Ant Hire, a UK supplier to the water
industry, has been appointed by
Industrial Water Jetting Systems (IWJS)
as its water and drainage solutions
provider in a contract worth £1mn over
the next five years.
Under the contract Ant Hire will provide
IWJS, an approved sub-contractor for
Yorkshire Water, with lateral pipe cutting
robots, its PatchBox pipe repair kit,
and other drain consumables to help
the wastewater management company
deliver planned and reactive works for
its water utility clients.
The contract, with IWJS’s Leeds depot,
builds on Ant Hire’s existing relationship
with its Manchester and
Suffolk depots. With six
strategic locations throughout
the UK, IWJS delivers national
drainage and wastewater
management support to
clients.

Val-Matic appoints vice-president
of sales and marketing
Val-Matic Valve & Manufacturing Corp
has announced the appointment of Mark
T Troyanowski as president of sales and
marketing. Mr Troyanowski joined Val-
Matic in 2016, and previously worked
in various sales management roles at
other manufacturing companies. Over
his career, he has participated in several
municipal industry organisations,
including APWA, AWWA and WASDA.
Mr Troyanowski earned a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Finance and a Master
Degree in Business Administration from
Northern Illinois University and brings
a wealth of industry experience to the
position.
Val-Matic is a manufacturer of air valves,
check valves, and quarter turn shut-
off valves for water/wastewater, power,
industrial, fire protection and HVAC
applications.
The company has headquarters in
Elmhurst, Illinois, USA, and additional
manufacturing facilities in Addison,
Illinois, for a total of over 177,000ft2 of
manufacturing and office space.
