Providing a measuring point
Zumbach’s USYS 20 offers an economic solution for one diameter or capacitance measuring point in industrial processes
such as the manufacturing of wire and cable, tube and hose.
The system features real-time, multi-tasking data processing and control. USYS 20 accepts measurements from a
broad line of laser diameter gauges of the ODAC
®
series, covering a diameter or width range from 0.012mm to 310mm with a
selectable resolution of up to 0.00001mm.
The processor also accepts capacitance measurements from the Zumbach’s CAPAC
®
systems instead of the diameter
gauges.
Key features include:
Complete system for one measuring point
•
Simultaneous display of three measured values

Complete range for cable testing
DCM provides a complete range of test and measurement solutions for cable production and final quality testing. Solutions
are offered for LAN cables, RF coaxial cables, telecommunication and instrumentation cables.
The latest DCM model 3S-XLD, for the testing of LAN Cat 5e,
Cat 6a and Cat 7 cables, is designed to offer higher reliability,
faster measurement speeds and greater measurement
performance than previous models. The 3S-XLD uses solid
state switching, completely eliminating electronic relays and
mechanical switches.
The 3S-XLD system provides a 28-pair test platform for testing
numerous LAN cable parameters, including crosstalk power
sums, alien crosstalk, insertion loss, return loss and impedance.
Bundled cables and backbone cables are quickly and easily
tested, and typical 4-pair LAN cables can be tested individually
or in groups.
The new DCM 3S solid state switching technology is said to
yield up to 80% faster test times and improved system noise
levels. A typical 4-pair cable is tested in less than 1 minute.
A six-around-one, 28-pair alien crosstalk test, according to
ANSI/TIA-568-C.2, takes approximately 8 minutes 30 seconds,
including VNA calibration.
The 3S technology is said to be faster, more accurate and more
reliable, and 3S upgrades are available for existing DCM LAN
cable testing systems.
DCM also provides a variety of additional cable testing solutions.
Available products include 4-pair systems for testing Cat 5e,
Cat 6 and Cat 7 cables, integrated systems for testing 100-pair
telecom and instrumentation cables, and integrated systems for testing 50-ohm and 75-ohm coaxial cables. Solutions include
complete test automation and automatic switching.
