combining GMAW-welding and laser welding
acting in the same welding pool.
This combination allows higher welding
speeds and deeper penetration. By adding
filler material, the tolerance requirements on
gaps between parts and fixture positioning
is reduced. An alternative method is laser
welding with wire filler material.
