Help With Basic Phone Service

Basic and enhanced telecommunication services are offered

to all consumers in the Marseilles Telephone Company service

territories at the rates, terms and conditions specified in the

Company’s price lists. Eligible low-income households can

receive financial assistance with the cost of phone installation

and basic local phone service.

One federal program and one state program provide funding

for this type of assistance. The Illinois Universal Telephone

Service Assistance Program (UTSAP) offers a one-time

discount of $16.00 off the cost of installing telephone service.

The Federal Lifeline Program provides a $9.25 monthly

discount off the cost of basic local telephone or broadband

internet service. If you have any questions regarding our

services or these specified telephone/internet assistance

Street in Marseilles, Illinois.

To qualify for assistance, households must participate

in one of the following governmental programs: Public

Housing Assistance (FPHA Section 8), Supplemental Nutrition

Assistance Program (SNAP), Supplemental Security Income

(SSI), Medicaid, or Veteran’s Pension and Survivor Benefit.
