vacuum and magnet technology to lift

and hold all shapes and types of steel

in stamping, blanking and press-to-press

transfer applications. The Transporter

®

MV is ideal for facilities with mixed-use

metals, where the magnet can be utilised

in conjunction with the vacuum for ferrous

parts and the vacuum can work on non-

ferrous materials, eliminating downtime for

tooling changes. This product comes in six

standard sizes.

Every Transporter

®

product provides

more options for pick-up points on

stamped, perforated and odd-shaped

parts, and a significant reduction over

vacuum and suction cups in shop air costs.

In addition, all Transporters

®

offer more

accurate placement on the die and quicker

cycle times for increased production. Each

is million-cycle-tested for endurance and

incorporates a fail-safe feature that, in the

event of air loss, prevents the magnet from

releasing ferrous parts. IMI specialises in

custom designs, providing Transporter

®

products for coil lifting, banded material

handling

and

other

challenging

applications. A full line of accessories and

fittings are available.

OVER the last few years many companies

have been holding their funds tightly and

only spending what is necessary due to the

uncertainty of the economy. JD Squared Inc

believes that companies should demand

more value in the machinery they buy, no

matter what the economic situation is.

This simple philosophy is why it

says it has been able to be a leading

tubing bender and notcher manufacturer

for almost 30 years simply by selling a

good product for a fair price. Until now,

JD Squared has only been focused on

small machinery requiring simple manual

or hydraulic operation. At FABTECH in

November 2010, JD Squared, Inc held the

pre-production debut of its newest product,

the HP-100 Horizontal Press. Even if you

saw it at FABTECH 2010, you may not

even recognise it at FABTECH 2011. Every

aspect of this machine has been improved

over the past year making it a larger, safer

and simpler to operate machine. The only

one in its price range, the HP-100 has

been designed to give all other horizontal

presses a run for their money. It is fully

CNC-controlled and the company says

customers will not be able to find the same

features in this price range or even several

ranges above it.

Weighing in at more than 1500lb, the

HP-100 features all heavy duty steel

construction with a 2½" top plate. The top

plate contains a replaceable wear plate

in the case that years of wear and tear

dull or scratch the engraving. It utilises

an 18.85 ton hydraulic cylinder and a 5hp

motor, enabling customers to bend up to

¾" x 6" mild steel effortlessly. By far the

best feature, however, is the operating

system. A touch screen, Windows-based
