Another milestone for
the 63rd IWCS
The latest technological advances, product design,
materials, applications and processes are at the
forefront of this year’s International Wire and Cable
Symposium and Conference in Providence, Rhode
Island, USA, from 9th to 12th November.
In addition to the conference, the IWCS, a non-pro t
organisation, presents personal development
courses providing tutorials on basic and emerging
technologies from industry experts, and there is
also a table-top exhibition for industry suppliers.
This year’s event – the 63rd – will also provide the
opportunity for delegates, attendees and exhibitors
to say ‘hello’ to the yet-to-be-named incoming chief
executive.
Incumbent chief executive John Barteld steps down
from the role on 31st December after this, his tenth
conference. His replacement will be introduced at
Monday 10th November’s hospitality event in the
Rotunda, where refreshments will be available. The
event will also provide the opportunity for visitors
to bid farewell to Mr Barteld.
The response to the call for papers for this year’s
event has been described as “outstanding” and
this will see a packed technical symposium until
Wednesday afternoon.
Help with managing businesses is also on hand with
the executive track with views of the marketplace
and the economy being key to the planning process.
The suppliers exhibition continues along its two-day
programme, providing plenty of opportunity and
incentive for all attendees to visit the exhibits at this
milestone conference.
